"Empowering young women from around the world, to reach their goals and make positive life decisions."

SHELLRETER OWENS

Founder and President

Shellreter Owens went from being a teen parent, high school dropout, and domestic violence victim, to a college graduate, loving wife and mother, and thriving entrepreneur. Most importantly, she became the Founder and CEO of  Girls In Charge, Inc. (GIC).

With her empowering testimony and commitment to community service, she established GIC as a means to encourage young women to never give up and to pursue their dreams and aspirations.

GIC is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering at risk young women to take charge of their lives and not allow negative personal circumstances to determine their future.

Help us grow! We are a 501 c3 public charity.
